Newlink Care Services is an independent training and consultancy company based in Woolwich Arsenal, South East London. Newlink Care Services was founded to provide a high quality level of training services in order to help individuals and organisations to meet their full potential through further education. Our policy is to deliver training programmes that are well-structured in order to ensure that the centre can meet its aim, which is to provide highly efficient training and consultancy services in a cost effective, timely and professional manner with the aim of adding value to the service users.

Newlink Care Services and the staff of the company are committed and passionate about taking the privacy of their service users seriously. Please find below the Privacy Policy that all Newlink Care Services staff follow when dealing with service users personal details and data that is both given to us and collected by us.

Changes to the policy

There may occasionally be changes to our Privacy Policy, however our services users are always informed of changes within our policies that may affect them in order to keep them informed of changes within the company.

Our principles

Newlink Care Services will only use information when it is needed and for strictly business reasons only. We rely on the information that we collected and given us to us by our users in order to provide the services that they have requested, whilst following the lawful processes of dealing with data. We will always ask for consent seeking new information and this information will then be stored appropriately and safely.

We will only ever ask for the information that we need and will always make it clear how information that we have on our users has been retrieved. The purpose for which we retrieve the information will be the only reason that we use that information unless our service users have given permission for it to be used elsewhere in
different circumstances.

Our records will remain up to date and any changes that we are informed of in relation to data of our users will be updated and changed accordingly. We will also regularly review the information that we have for our users and request updates to confirm that we have the correct and current information.

We will always ensure that information is disposed of correctly if need be, and have a team of staff that are trained on the importance of Data Protection and receive regular training in order to ensure that they are aware of any policy changes that may affect the way that they deliver our services and will always ensure that they are aware of the consequences of not following Data Protection Policies.

We will observe your rights under applicable privacy and data protection laws and will ensure that queries relating to privacy issues are dealt with promptly and

What if I do not agree with this Privacy Policy?

If you do not agree to our processing of your data in the manner outlined in the Policy, please do not submit any personal data to us.
Information we hold about you Newlink Care Services will collect data both for and about our service users for the purpose of delivery the services that are offered by the centre.

Our processing of sensitive / Special category data is carried only with your explicit prior consent with appropriate safeguards and on condition that this data is not disclosed outside that body without your explicit consent to do so.

members within the centre are aware of how to do this.

Information supplied by you to us, or that we collect about you, may be transferred, and stored by our staff members for the purpose of providing services to you.. We will use appropriate safeguards when transferring your data.

We may monitor the use and content of emails, calls and secure messages sent from and received by us so that we can identify and take legal action against unlawful or improper use of our systems, training and quality control purposes or dispute resolution.

Who has access to your information?

We will not share your information with third parties that are not relevant to the services that we provide. However, we may be liable to pass on information depending on the circumstances, such as detecting crime (see page above).

Your rights in respect of the data we hold

You are entitled to have personal data rectified if it is inaccurate or incomplete.

If the personal data has been disclosed to third parties where relevant, we will inform them of the rectification where possible.

We will inform you about the third parties to whom the data has been disclosed where appropriate.

We will respond to a request for rectification within one month. Where requests are complex we will respond within two months.

The right of erasure

The right of erasure is also known as ‘the right to be forgotten’. You can request the deletion or removal of personal data in specific circumstances. The right to erasure does not provide an absolute ‘right to be forgotten’. You have a right to have personal data erased:

  • Where the personal data is no longer necessary in relation to the purpose for which it was originally collected/ processed.
  • When you withdraw consent.
  • When you object to the processing and there is no overriding legitimate interest for continuing the processing.
  • The personal data was unlawfully processed (i.e. otherwise in breach of the GDPR). The personal data has to be erased in order to comply with a legal obligation.

Our data collection is always in line with the provision of the services that Newlink Care Services provides. When using the resources and services that are available your rights to tailor your preferences in terms of the channels through which you receive service based messages or in opting out of receiving contact from the centre.

Where using consent as the basis for processing special category data you should be aware that opting out or not providing consent may compromise your ability to use our service fully.

How long will you hold my information for?

We will hold your information for as long as is necessary to comply with our statutory and contractual obligations and in accordance with our legitimate interests as a data controller and in line with our data retention policy.
